WOODLOT for Windows 2.1 - Reference Manual
|
12.0 Calculation The Calculations screen is used to perform harvest rate calculations. An iterative calculation is performed on all selected polygons. A harvest rate is calculated over the planning horizon (usually 250 years), though the planning horizon can be changed in the Summary screen. Calculations are carried out based on data compiled from the Polygon Data screen, and harvest parameters set by polygon and woodlot. This screen has an application menu bar with File, Sort, Rate and Graph. Also, notice in lighter blue the headings for each function in the Calculations screen. Basic functions discussed below include:
12.1 File Menu
12.1.1 Save Save the current file with the current file name. If there is not a current file name, the Save As dialog box will appear asking for the new file name. 12.1.2 SaveAs Saves the current file with a new filename and/or a new location. The file will be saved in the current version's format. 12.1.3 Ok This item will close the polygon window and open the main menu. 12.2 Sort You may sort the polygons for sequencing their harvest using this feature. WOODLOT will initially automatically load polygons into the Calculations screen in the order they appear in Polygon Data. The harvest rate calculation will occur based on the order shown in Harvest Order.
12.2.1 Oldest first Use this feature to sort your polygons for harvest by oldest first. 12.2.2 Closest to Harvest Age Use this feature to sort your polygons for harvest by closest to their harvest age. 12.2.3 Default Use this feature to restore the order to the original order for harvest calculations. The original order is the order displayed in Polygon Data.
