10.4 Yield Table - Harvest Age Data Harvest ages may be selected in the Yield Table window, which is linked to the Yield Type box in the Polygon Data screen. Harvest ages are displayed in the white text box next to the up/down scroll arrow. There are four ways of selecting a harvest age in this window: WOODLOT will put in a harvest age based on the earliest age whereby all the harvest parameters have been met, and the culmination age has been reached. Manually entering a harvest age. Using the up and down arrows next to the harvest age to choose an appropriate age. Clicking on the graph to choose a point on the graph where the harvest should take place. There is also information displayed for the minimum harvest parameters of dbh, vol/ha and age, and resulting ages at which these will be reached. You may enter information on these variables in the white text boxes. WOODLOT will calculate the age and volume when these limits will be reached by recalculating the yield curves 10.4.1 dbh [Default] values are updated directly from harvest parameters. Acceptable Values: Positive integer Enter the minimum dbh (diameter at breast height) that must be reached before this polygon can be harvested. The value beneath shows the age at which this dbh occurs; the value under that shows the dbh at harvest age. 10.4.2 Vol/ha [Default] values are updated directly from harvest parameters. Acceptable Values: Positive integer Enter the minimum volume/ha that must be reached before this polygon can be harvested. The value beneath shows the age of the stand when this parameter is reached; the value under that shows the vol/ha at harvest age. 10.4.3 Age [Default] values are updated directly from harvest parameters. Acceptable Values: Positive integer A minimum age for harvest may be entered here the polygon. Note that this value is used only used to set a minimum harvest age below any other harvest parameter. A polygon can be harvested below this minimum age if the harvest age has been manually set below the minimum age. In this case, a warning message will be reported during the calculation and in the report writer. 10.4.4 Harvest Age [Default] values are calculated from the harvest parameters using the current yield table. Acceptable Values: Positive integer The value in this text box will be used as the harvest age for the specified polygon for calculating the harvest rate. Either use the minimum age derived from the above parameters, or manually enter a harvest age. The value shown will be in square brackets if it derived from WOODLOT, based upon the age at which the three minimum harvest parameters and the culmination age have been met.
