This screen shows important user information about the version of WOODLOT, credits, and contact information that may be required for product support. |
| Main Screen |
The Main Screen is used to move between the other screens in WOODLOT, and to load in lot files. |
| Project Screen |
Data stored in the Project screen is used to help identify the lot file. |
| Polygon Data Screen |
The Polygon Data screen is used to enter all the basic inventory data and management information specific to each polygon. This is the most important data screen in WOODLOT, since this is where most of your base data is entered. Your final calculations are only as good as your input data, so you should spend an appropriate amount of time collecting and ensuring this screen is filled correctly. Help items are provided at the bottom of this screen for each variable. |
| Summary Screen |
The Summary screen is used to display basic polygon information for a quick check, adjust harvest parameters on the entire woodlot, adjust the silviculture system for one or many polygons, adjust the harvest ages for one or many polygons. |
| Calculations Screen |
The Calculations screen is used to perform harvest rate calculations. An iterative calculation is performed on all selected polygons. A harvest rate is calculated over the planning horizon (usually 250 years), though the planning horizon can be changed in the Summary screen. This is also where you can test the harvest calculation and sensitivity of variables used, by adjusting variables and re-running the harvest calculation. |
| Report Screen |
This screen is used to generate reports in WOODLOT. |
| Tables Screen |
Tables of input information may also be viewed and produced from this screen. |
| Settings Screen |
The Settings screen is used to modify major settings and to describe file/program locations. This is a utility screen for running WOODLOT. |
