2.4 Upgrading a previous version of WOODLOT Previous versions of WOODLOT should be uninstalled before installation of the new version. If you are installing a beta version of WOODLOT, we recommend that you install this in a new directory/folder. WOODLOT can easily be installed in a new directory/folder in order to preserve a previous version. By default, the 16-bit version will be installed in C:\WOODLOT2 and the 32-bit version installs in C:\PROGRAM FILES\WOODLOT2. When using old files you should save them under a new name. Note that WOODLOT files are not backward compatible. That is, a version 2.1 file can not be opened on version 1.0. However, a version 1.0 to 1.15 file can be opened under version 2.1. This is because of changes to files used within the later versions of WOODLOT. Should you need to run an older version of WOODLOT to compare calculations, contact the Resource Tenures and Engineering Branch for a copy of an older version.
