Appendix 9 - Variables Used in WOODLOT

The following variable names should be used in each column when building a .csv or .xls file for loading in through the polygon data screen. Do not leave any blank numbers or empty rows. The first row (line) in the CSV file must contain the EXACT Woodlot variable name as listed below. Columns do not have to be in any specific order. Any columns with header names not listed below will be ignored by Woodlot.

*Defaults are taken from the default polygons. Please refer to manual if you are unsure about creating a default polygon.
** Mapsheet and Polygon Names are required for each polygon. These values may not be omitted and must be a unique combination.


When a CSV file is imported.
  1. Woodlot adds a new polygon with the mapsheet and polygon name specified in the CSV file.
  2. Data is copied from the default polygon to the new polygon.
  3. The new polygon is then updated from the rest of the columns in the CSV file.
